  The first stable release of Signed - an open, permissionless Social Git collaboration platform.

  Highlights

  • Follows your operating system's native theme on macOS, Windows and Linux (KDE, GNOME), including colors, fonts, corner radii and accessibility preferences
  • Import an existing identity by pasting its nsec secret key, a NIP-49 ncryptsec, or a bunker:// NIP-46 URI
  • New dropdown menu on the signed-in user button with sign-out, plus a quit action bound to cmd-Q / ctrl-Q
  • Choose the default branch when publishing a repository
  • Detects local commits that are not on Nostr yet: unsynced badges on repository rows, a Sync now banner, and a step-by-step push checklist
  • New Reset remote to local action that republishes the mirror and deletes grasp refs the mirror does not have
  • Backend errors now surface as error notifications instead of failing silently
  • Appearance now follows the native OS theme, so the theme pickers and the font size, corner radius, focus ring and shadow settings were removed

  Notable fixes

  • Opening a repository no longer fails with destination already exists when two loads raced to clone its mirror, and an interrupted clone no longer leaves the repository unopenable
  • Repository sync no longer fails with state event in purgatory ... doesn't match push when grasp servers hold branches or tags the local repository lacks
  • Sync no longer fails with could not fetch refs/tags/...^{} on repositories with annotated tags
  • Signing in with a bunker:// URI now errors properly instead of silently generating a new identity when its master key cannot be parsed
  • The repository view no longer refreshes its mirror from the network while a push is in progress

  macOS notice

  The macOS builds are unsigned, so Gatekeeper blocks the app on first launch with a "Signed cannot be opened..." / "damaged" warning. After moving Signed.app into /Applications, allow it once from the terminal:

  xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Signed.app
  

  Then open the app normally. You need to repeat this after installing an update, since re-downloading re-applies the quarantine.

  Highlights

  • Panel tabs now show the repository owner's avatar, with a pixel avatar as the fallback
  • New Event Fetching Strategy setting, fetching activity from a repository's announced relays only (Curated) or from every maintainer's relays as well (Uncensored)
  • Redesigned dock tab bar with close buttons, double-click to zoom and a muted grey active tab
  • Tab Bar setting to hide the previous/next tab buttons
  • Explore and repository views now show the latest push date instead of the announcement date
  • GPUI foundation moved onto the published gpui-pre crates and GPUI Kit 0.6
  • Closed repository and pull request views now stop fetching and publishing in the background
